Podcasting hits PrimeTime
Blog Critics have published a
good article on how the major Television Networks are dealing with Podcasting and how they will be implementing them in the future.
This will be a telling year for the Podcasting world... Television has the power to truly bring Podcasting into the main stream, and tying the medium in with shows that have existing fan bases may well do more for PodCasting than anything up until this point... and that is saying a lot!

Did Chris McIntyre Sell Out PodCast Alley ?
Here is another "You almost heard it here first"....
According to
Mac World UK PodCast Alley was sold to PodShow.
Podshow is one of the brainchild companies of
Adam Curry, a former VJ for MTV, but best know to podcast enthusiasts as the host of
Daily Source Code. Adam started the company with Ron Bloom.
Adam Curry is a podcast pioneer and is one of the people responsible for the progress that podcasting has seen in the past year...
What does this mean?
Well... PodCast Alley, one of the best FREE online portals/directories for Podcasts on the Internet, has been sold for an as yet undisclosed figure (PodShow recently recieved just shy of 9 million dollars in capital venture) to a company that was built to commercialize podcasting.
Not that we completely disagree with some commercialization. There are plenty of great podcasts out there and we think that their creators should be making some money for what they do...
We are just not sure how we feel about this takeover yet... We have our fingers crossed that PodShow will keep to the spirit of what PodCast Alley was all about and continue offering a good PodCasting resource!
Maybe they can even do something about how slow PodCast Alley has been loading lately...
