  iPod Automobiles to Sweep the Nation During the North American International Auto Show, yesterday, Chrysler made the announcement that every podcast enthusiast has been waiting for.... iPod Integration.

Chrysler's iPod Integration Kits will be available, as an option, for over 3 million Chrysler, Jeep® and Dodge automobiles starting in the spring. The integration kit will retail for around $175 (plus installation costs) and will come with a 3-year/36,000 mile warranty, which seems to be the standard for automobile electrical systems.

Our Take:
Well I think it goes without saying that this will not be one of the impulse iPod purchases. If it is...Welll, good for you I guess. Obviously upgrading to a 2006 car that supports your iPod isn't going to be an option for most, but if you're in the market and absolutely must relieve those anxious moments in your car without your iPod, it could be a point for consideration. Of course, if this is what your purchase decision is solely based on, you may have a problem.   ¶ 15:08
